Binance.US Receives Currency Transmitter License
Binance.US is pleased to announce that it has received its Currency Transmitter License from the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation, Banking Division.
“Binance.US continues to demonstrate our commitment to being a compliance-first organization by securing licenses across America and hiring top legal, compliance, and regulatory talent, “ said Brian Shroder, Chief Executive Officer of Binance.US. “We thank the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation for allowing us to serve its residents and help drive crypto adoption in the state.”
Rhode Island has been at the forefront of pro-crypto policy proposals in the United States, the most recent being the Green Housing Public-Private Partnership Act, a bill that would grant homeowners and investors cryptocurrency in the form of a “green coin” for reducing carbon emission and utility costs on housing projects.
Rhode Island is the fifth jurisdiction in which Binance.US has received a Money Transmitter License in 2022, following West Virginia, Connecticut, Wyoming, and Puerto Rico. Through its licenses and those of its partners, the company currently operates in 45 states and 7 territories, offering some of the industry's lowest fees on 100+ high-quality token listings.
