Sidney A. Majalya Joins Binance.US as Chief Risk Officer

Binance.US welcomes Sidney Majalya to its leadership team as the company’s first Chief Risk Officer.

Sidney has more than 20 years of experience in both the government and tech sectors and most recently served as Vice President, Legal and Chief Compliance Officer at Intel Corporation. Prior to that he worked at Uber Technologies and Oracle, and spent nearly a decade as a trial attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice. In this new role, Sidney will sit on the company’s executive team and report to Binance.US’s CEO, Brian Shroder.

As Vice President, Legal and Chief Compliance Officer of Intel Corporation, Sidney played a key role in managing the company’s antitrust, anti-corruption, and other legal compliance risks on a global basis. He was also responsible for guiding the company’s ethics program and serving as co-chair for Intel’s Ethics & Compliance Oversight Committee (ECOC), which oversees Intel’s overall compliance risk.

Prior to joining Intel, Sidney served as the Head of Investigations, Legal Compliance and Global Compliance at Uber Technologies, Inc., and managed teams focused on legal, operational, and global trade compliance in 60+ countries and 700+ cities. He also worked as Sr. Compliance Counsel at Oracle, where he advised on a wide range of corporate compliance matters.

Earlier in his career, Sidney served as a trial attorney in the Antitrust Division at the U.S. Department of Justice from 2004 - 2014. Sidney holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Dartmouth College and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Columbia Law School. He is a trustee on the board of the Phillips Brooks School in Menlo Park.
