Martin C. Grant, Former New York Fed Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer, Joins Binance.US

Binance.US, a leading U.S. licensed and regulated crypto platform, today announced the appointment of Martin C. Grant, former Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, to its Board of Directors for BAM Management US Holdings, Inc.

Mr. Grant brings over three decades of regulatory, legal, and compliance experience in government and the digital assets industry to the Binance.US board. As a director, he will continue to advance Binance.US’ compliance-first focus and help oversee financial reporting processes and internal controls.

Mr. Grant currently serves as Global Head of Regulatory Affairs & Integrity at JST Digital, a global financial services firm specializing in digital assets, which he joined in 2022 to ensure regulatory best practices, serve as a resource for the firm's clients, and work with global regulators as policies for digital assets continue to evolve.

Prior to taking his post at JST Digital, Mr. Grant worked for over 30 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. From 2005 to 2022, he served as the New York Fed’s Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer, where he developed and managed programs related to anti-money laundering, sanctions enforcement, risk assessment, data privacy, third-party due diligence, records management, trading compliance, ethics, and conduct. Over his long tenure, he established deep relationships across the U.S. government and with central banks around the globe.

From 1990 to 2005, Mr. Grant served as a staff attorney at the New York Federal Reserve and counsel in its enforcement and litigation group. He began his career as law clerk in the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.

Mr. Grant earned a bachelor’s degree in Politics from Princeton University and Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Harvard Law School. He serves as the Chair of the Conference Board's Global Business Conduct Council, a peer group of senior executives responsible for shaping global ethics and compliance programs who meet to discuss current issues and challenges facing corporations. Mr. Grant is a member of the Compliance Committee of the New York City Bar Association and co-chair of its Banking subcommittee. He is also a member of the Council on
Foreign Relations.
